1200 East Coast Blocc Crips

The 1200 East Coast Crips (1200ECC) also known as the 1200 East Coast Blocc Crips (1200ECBC) or 1200 Blocc Crips, are an African-American street gang located on the East Side of Riverside, California. They originated around 12th Street, between Martin Luther King Blvd and University Avenue. The 1200 Blocc Crips have been around for over forty years and have been active since the 1970’s.

The 1200 Blocc East Coast Crips falls under the East Coast Crips and Neighborhood Crips as well as Blocc Crips umbrella. They consist of two main cliques such as the Georgia Street Mob and the Crippen Young Gangsters. According to the (RSPD) Riverside Police Department, the 1200 East Coast Blocc Crips have well over 200 documented gang member’s and over 100 associates.

In The News

In 2011, Federal, state and local law enforcement officers raided 40 addresses around Riverside, arresting 20 people with connections to the 1200 Blocc East Coast Crips. The six month investigate was Law enforcement was dubbed as “Operation Tampa Bay,” due to the fact that members of this gang are known to sport “Tampa Bay Rays” (TB) baseball caps, the “T” represent Twelve and the “B” represents Blocc.

In 2009, Javante Marquis Scott known on the streets as “Baby Tiptoe,” an active member of the 1200 East Coast Blocc Crips participated in a drive-by shooting, which he shot three Latino male, who were believed to be members of the Tiny Dukes. Baby Tip Toe was sentenced to 120 years to life in prison, the victims had no gang affiliation and were target’s cause of their race (Hate Crime).

On Dec 14, 2008, Arsenio Devo Morgan, was seeking to leave a small-time gang called Sex Cash Murder Gang in favor of joining the 1200 Blocc East Coast Crips. who is accused of killing two Hispanic persons Salvador Soliz, who was 18-year old and Ramiro Sanchez, who 16-year-old at the time of the shooting near the UC Riverside campus.

Arsenio Devo Morgan is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of gang activity, as well as multiple sentence-enhancing allegations, including that the shootings were part of a hate crime. The tragic shooting was part of his initiation into the 1200 Blocc Crips.

Allies & Rivals

They are allies of all East Coast Crips and Neighborhood Crips and as well as most Blocc Crips. The 1200 East Coast Blocc Crips are rivals of the Project Gangster Crips and the Casa Blanca Gangster Crips as well as the East Side Riva along with Sex Cash Gang, a sub-set of the Unknown Mafia located in Moreno Valley, California. Other rivals include Gangster Crips such as the Eight Tray Gangster Crips and the Altadena Blocc Crips.

The 1200 East Coast Blocc Crips are known for their contribution to Hate Crime. They have a violent reputation for attacking surrounding Hispanic street gangs. Their hatred of Mexican-American street gangs such as the Eastside Riva, the city’s oldest gang and the Casa Blanca Fern Street as well as the Tiny Dukes.
