The East Side (E/S) 53 Avalon Gangster Crips are an African-American east of the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles, California. Considered to be one of the oldest Avalon Gangster Crips/Gangster Crips sets, this gang’s moniker derives from a major thoroughfare that runs north and south through Los Angeles called Avalon Blvd. (their territory is stretched out along that road). The Avalon Gangster Crips identify themselves under the Gangster Crips/East Side Crips/Crips card. Enemies include the 42 Gangster Crips, 43 Gangster Crips, 48 Gangster Crips, 62 East Coast Neighbor Hood Crips, Family Swan Bloods, Blood Stone Villains and the Rollin 30’s Harlem Crips. Allies include the 88 Avalon Garden Crips, Rollin 40s Avalon Gangster Crips, 53 Avalon Gangster Crips 116 Avalon Gangster Crips, 52 Broadway Gangster Crips, 87 Kitchen Crips, 51 Trouble Gangster Crips, Eight Tray Gangster Crips and the Playboys Surenos 13. Most members of this gang can be found around the South Park area. Some members tend to wear Atlanta Braves or Oakland A’s sports apparel along with the Crips traditional blue color.
