Bounty Hunter Bloods (Watts)

The Bounty Hunters Bloods (BHB), also known as the Bounty Hunter Watts Bloods are primarily an African-American street gang, located in the Nickerson Garden Housing Projects located on the East Side in the Watts district of South Los Angeles, California. The Bounty Hunter Bloods originated as the Green Jackets, in the late 1960s.

They are considered the one the largest black gangs in the city of Watts, along with the Grape Street Crips and the PJ Watts Crips. Younger members of the Bounty Hunter Bloods often attend Centennial High School, which is located in the West Side Piru neighborhood.

The Nickerson Gardens Projects stretches from Imperial Highway to 114th Street, between Central Avenue, and Compton Avenue. The Bounty Hunter Bloods consist of several cliques such as the Bell Haven, Lot Boys, Block Boys, Ace Line on 111th Street, Deuce Line on 112th Street, Tray Line on 113th Street, Four Line on 114th Street, and Five Line on 115th Street.

News And Entertainment

On Feb. 22, 1993, Regis Deon Thomas, who is a well-known member of the Bounty Hunter Bloods killed two cops. Officer Kevin Michael Burrell and James Wayne MacDonald, were wearing bulletproof vests when they stopped a red pickup truck about 11 p.m., but were struck by bullets. With the officers lying in the rain-soaked street, Thomas fired several bullets into the back of their heads, execution-style.

In 1995, Regis Deon Thomas, twenty-five years of age at the time of the shooting, was sentenced to death by leather injection or the gas chamber.

Jay Rock (rapper) of Top Dawg Entertainment, and O.F.T.B. “Operation From The Bottom” (rap group) former Death Row Records artist’s are from Bounty Hunter Bloods. However, on September 23, 2013, Kevin “Flipside” White, of OFTB was allegedly shot and murdered by a member of the Grape Street Crips.

Allies And Rivals

The Bounty Hunter Bloods have a close alliance and relationship with the Hacienda Village Bloods and the Circle City Pirus and occasionally with the PJs Watts Crips. Due to the fact, they all share a common hatred for the Grape Street Crips. The Bounty Hunter Bloods can also be found in difference states and cities such as Norfolk (Virgina) and Trenton (New Jersey/East Coast).

They have a long-standing feud with the Grape Street Crips, who is located in the Jordan Downs Housing Projects. Although, all three project gangs Bounty Hunters/Grape Street/PJs) participated in the 1992 Watts Gang Truce. However, the Peace Treaty dissolved and the city of Watts, returned to its original state.

Rivals of the Bounty Hunter Bloods are the Grape Street Crips (arch enemy)s, Ten Line Gangster Crips, Holmes Street Watts Crips, Bacc Street Watts Crips, Front Street Watts Crips, Fudge Town Mafia Crips, 117 Street Watts Crips, 108 Watts Neighbor Hood Crips, East Coast Crips, and all Compton Crips.
