The 76 (pronounced Seven Six) East Coast Crips (76 ECC) also known as 76 East Coast Neighborhood Crips are an well-known African-American street gang under the East Coast Crips umbrella. The 76 East Coast Crips are located on the East Side of South Los Angeles (formerly known as South Central, LA), California. The 76 East Coast Crips terrotory reside in the Florence-Firestone neihborhood, which is north of the city of Watts.

They are named after a residential street (76th Place) around 76th Street, between Central Ave and Compton Ave. The 76 East Coast Crips have been around for decades, and remain amongst the active gangs in Los Angeles. Members are known to wear Philadelphia 76ers basketball fashion gear to show their affiliation with the 76 ECC gang. They are also known to sport the 76 Gas Station logo colors, which are orange and blue.
News
October 2, 2006, the 76 East Coast Crips made headlines when a two members of this gang Christopher Mathis and Akil Robbins, led police on a high-speed chase in a rented red Chevrolet Cobalt. Prior to the chase, Akil Robbins and Christopher Mathis shot a member of the Rollin 40s Crips five or six times, with nine-millimeter semiautomatic handgun. The victim died from multiple gunshot wounds, twice in the head. Mathis and Robbins was charged with first the degree murder.
On October 10, 2006, Brandon Charles Nichols (76 East Coast Crips) and Lawrence Randel Fuller, committed two drive-by shootings just minutes apart in a blue Chevy Caprice car with a high power assault rifle, in the territory of Florencia 13 (rival gang). Which, resulted in an innocent Latino female being shot. minutes later, a 68-year-old Latino male, was shot to death on a street corner in front of his two grandchildren. Branden (shooter) was charged with first degree murder, and Lawrence (driver) was charged with second degree murder. The shootings are linked to an ongoing feud between the East Coast Crips and Florencia 13.
