118 East Coast Crips
The 118 East Coast Crips (118ECC) also known as 118 East Coast Blocc Crips (118ECBC) are an African-American street gang located on the East Side of South Los Angeles, California. Their neighborhood is around 118th Street, between Main Street and 120th Street (borderline). The 118 East Coast Crips are a subset of the larger East Coast Crips, and are associated with the Neighborhood Crips (2x Deuce) card.
The 118 East Coast Crips have been active for over thirty years, and are one of the more feared gangs under the East Coast Crips brand, with around 200 active members. Member’s of this gang are known to sport baby/powder blue, which is the traditional color for gangs affiliated with East Coast Crips.
The 118 (ECC) primary activities include murder, attempted murder, assault and battery, strong-arm robbery, burglary, home invasion vandalism, and narcotics sales. Gang members protect their territory with “force and fear” and commit various crimes in a neighborhood to intimidate the residents.
Allies & Rivals
The 118 East Coast Crips are cliqued up with the Original Blocc Crips to form the 118 East Coast Block Crips. They allied with Neighborhood Crips, Hard Time Hustler Crips, and gangs under the Rollin 100s. The 118 East Coast Blocc Crips shared a close relationship with the Grape Street Crips (Watts). However, in 2008, member’s of both were involved in an altercation that turned violence, followed by gunplay.
The 118 East Coast Crips are rivals of the Miller Gangster Bloods and the Athen Park Bloods as well as the Denver Lane Gangster Bloods. Their main rival crip gangs are the 116 Kitchen Crips, 116 Avalon Gangster Crips, 112 Broadway Crips, and the Main Street Mafia Crips.
