Lil Sodi,  is an American rapper/singer who was born and raised on the West Side of South Los Angeles, (formerly known as South Central Los Angeles), in an area controlled by the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, Sodi gained recognition after signing with 100 Entertainment, a record label founded by Bigfase 100 of Cedar Block Piru, a street gang based in Compton, California.

Lil Sodi named after his father Big Sodi, who is also affiliated with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. Sodi originated as a singer turned rapper, while incarcerated in the California Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), previously known as the California Youth Authority (CYA). He released two mixtapes on 100 Entertainment, before signing with Corporate Thug Entertainment, started by rapper Young Jeezy.

Lil Sodi was featured onThisis50.com, “16 or better cypher” (L.A. addition) Dre Vishsis of Grape Street Watts Crips and Lil Benzo of Hat Gang Watts (crips) as well as Boobie Soprano from Gardena Shot Gun Crips and K-Boy from 48 Gangster Crips.

The Best Of Both Rags Sides

Despite, Lil Sodi being a member of the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, he is known for collaborating with blood rappers such as P-Smurf of Denver Lane Bloods, who debuted on Spider Loc – Blutiful World (remix). He also done songs with Compton Menace (Fruit Town Piru) and Suga Buga from Weirdoz Bloods, best known for being a member of Bloods & Crips and The Relativez as well as the Damu Ridas.

He befriended Boskoe 100 of Queen Street Bloods, a street gang located in Inglewood California. Lil Sodi and Bigfase 100, created a project  “The Best Of Both Rags”,  which is a reference to the bloods (red rags) and crips (blue rags). The project is identical to the 1990s, Bloods & Crips (rap group), which was a collaboration between real-life Bloods and Crips.

Feud With Nipsey Hussle

In 2010, Lil Sodi insulted Nipsey Hussle (“F**k Nipsey”) and the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips (“we don’t like sissies”) on “Hard In The Paint” (remix), a song originally recorded by Waka Floka Flames. In 2013, Nispey Hussle retaliated on “Same Hoes” (“Your p**sy getting beat up like Sodi”), a song off OKE (Operation Kill Everything), a mixtape by Compton rapper Game.

This feud is nothing personal or the result of a physical altercation, but is Gang-related. Lil Sodi being from Eight Tray Gangster Crips and Nipsey Hussle being from the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips. These two gangs are sworn enemies, and have been feuding before the two rappers were even born, with history dating back to the 1970s.
