87 Gangster Crips

The 87 Gangster Crips (87GC) also known as the 8-Seven Gangster Crips or the 87th Street Gangster Crips, are predontantly, but not exclusively, an African-American street gangs, located on the East Side of South Los Angeles, California. The 87 Gangster Crips originated after the Eight Tray Gangster Crips started feuding with the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, in 1979.

Allies & Rivals

The 87 Gangster Crips have a long standing alliance with the 97 Gangster Crips, which have been active for over twenty years. Along with the 40s Gangster Crips and the Broadway Gangster Crips as well as the East Coast Crips. They are rivals of the Hoover Criminals Gang, Trouble Gangster Crips, Main Street Crips, Mad Swan Bloods, and the Denver Lane Bloods.

The 87 Gangster Crips shared a close alliance with the 88 Avalon Garden Crips, a subset of the Avalon Gangster Crips. However, in 2003, the 87 Gangster Crips and the 88 Avalon Garden Crips, became involved in a bitter rivalry that resulted in multiple gang related deaths. In a matter of months, members on both sides lost their life as a result of this feud.

In January 2004, Frank Harris, an active member of the 87 Gangster Crips twin brother were shot and killed by members of the Avalon Garden Crips. In March 2004, the 87 Gangster Crips took vengeance’s by killing a reputable member of the 88 Avalon Garden Crips, as retaliating for the murder of Frank Harris twin brother, who were also associated with the 87 Gangster Crips.

The Avalon Garden Crips, responded by fatally shooting two women associated with the 87 Gangster Crips. Frank Harris, were charged with first degree murder of Sherman Clarks, who was a member of the Avalon Garden Crips, his body was found by police outside of a Chinese restaurant located on Avalon and 51st Street, which is the territory of the Avalon Gangster Crips.

Frank Harris, were also charged with attempted premeditated murder of T.B, a friend of Sherman Clarks, who is also a member of the Avalon Garden Crips, who was found inside the restaurant suffering from a gunshot whom to the foot. The shooting was captured on the restaurant security camara and Harris was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for the murder, plus a consecutive 25 years to life for the attempted murder.
