RedRum 781(Rapper)

O.Y.G. Redrum 781 is a rapper from Inglewood, California. Redrum was a member of the 1990s rap group (Bloods & Crips), which was a collaboration of gang related rappers, from South Los Angeles, Inglewood, Long Beach, Compton and Watts. Redrum 781 is also the older brother of Lil Leak aka CK, and he is the cousin of Kurupt from the Dogg Pound. Redrum is also a well-known and respected member of the west side Avenue Piru Gang.

The Bloods & Crips (Bangin On Wax) projects was created by Redrum 781, Ronnie Phillips, and Tweedy Bird Loc in the early 1990s. Redrum was also responsible for recruiting most of the bloods for the project such as Big WY, Lil Hawk, and Suga Buga also known as Dogg. Redrum 781 and Bloody Mary keep in touch after “Bangin On Wax” until her death in 2006.

Redrum 781 was briefly signed to Death Row Record’s in the 1990s, the same label as his cousin Kurupt. However, the two have a rocky relationship with little or no interaction at all. Redrum 781, expressed his feelings towards Kurupt in several interviews: Kurupt, This nigga f**k with every other blood in the industry but me!

Redrum 781, is respected by a number of artist’s such as: Mitchy Slick – Lincoln Park Bloods, Big Wy – Crenshaw Mafia Bloods, Compton Menace – Fruit Town Piru, 2Eleven – Neighborhood Piru, Big June – Skyline Piru, and Jay Rock – Bounty Hunter.
