The East Side (E/S) 97 Gangster Crips are an African American street gang founded in the early 1980’s in Los Angeles, California. Their territory is concentrated in the 97th street area, east of the 110 Freeway and west of Avalon Blvd. This gang identifies itself under the Gangster Crips and East Side Crips card and are allies of neighborhoods also claiming the same card along with all East Coast Crips, the 112 Broadway Gangster Crips and PJ Watts Crips. They are considered rivals of the Denver Lane Bloods, 98 Main Street Mafia Crips, all Hoover Criminals, all Avalon Gangster Crips and the Rollin 90s.
