Rap Group: one man shot his partner over who is the star of their music video

Early Saturday morning, a music video shoot at a Bronx bodega turned violent after one member of a rap duo reportedly opened fire on his partner , wounding him in the head, legs, and chest. According to the bodega’s owner, the shooting was triggered by an argument over who was the video’s star.

Corner store owner Ali Abdul told the New York Daily News the two men began fighting over who was the star of their music video. The scuffle brought them into his store.

“They were fighting over who’s the star, who’s better,” said Abdul. “They were drunk. They spit at each other then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times.”

In the security footage, several customers walk over the victim as he lies on the ground. He is in critical condition at a local hospital and is expected to survive.

The suspect, who is described as a 30-year-old black man, 5-foot-10 tall and weighing between 180 and 210 pounds, has not been caught. He has braids and “was wearing a red polo shirt, gray sweatpants and black-and-white sneakers,” the News reports.
