Gang-related shooting suspect arrested

Police have arrested a suspect in an April gang-related shooting in Northeast Portland.

Patrick Shariff Paden, 18, is charged with Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

According to police, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on April 27, North Precinctofficers responded to the area of Northeast 9th Avenue and Stanton Street on the report of gunshots heard in the area.

Officers arrived and located evidence of gunfire, including at least one house and one vehicle hit.

No victims were located and the GET responded to conduct an investigation. The investigation led to GET detectives obtaining an arrest warrant for Paden in connection with the shooting.

On Thursday, Oct. 2, GET officers arrested Paden without incident at North Albina Avenue and Killingsworth Street. GET detectives then worked with investigators from the Vancouver Police Department to serve a search warrant in Clark County related to the case.
