2nd II None is an American rap group from Compton, California. 2nd II None is made up of two cousins, Gangsta D (born Deon Barnett) and KK also know as Blakkazz KK (born Kelton L. McDonald). The two cousins are childhood friends of DJ Quik, from Tree Top Piru who produced most of their songs. KK and Gangsta D are also affiliated with the Elm Street Piru.

In 1990 the two cousins signed with Profile Records. On September 6, 1991 they debuted with their self-titled album (2nd II None), which spawned two singles “Be True To Yourself” and “Didn’t Mean To Turn You On.” The hole album was produced by DJ Quik and featured AMG and Hi-C. KK and Gangsta D released their second album, Classic 220 on October 12, 1998.

2nd II None has appeared on a number of soundtracks such as: Above The Rim (Soundtrack) “Didn’t Mean To Turn You On.” Menace To Society (Soundtrack) “Can’t Fuck With A Nigga” and HBO The Sopranos (soundtrack) “Up ‘N Da Club. 2nd II None was blessed with an award by the West Cost Hip Hop Awards (the 5th Anual) in 2012.
