The Carver Park Compton Crips are an African-American street gang, located on the East Side of Compton, (Willowbrook, Los Angeles) California. They are regarded as one of the most active street gangs in the city of Compton. Their neighborhood runs from 118th Street to 126th Street between Wilmington Ave and Central Ave. They are named after a community Park (George Washington Carver Park), which sits on Success Ave, between 118th Street and 120th Street.
Dee’s Liquor (Dee’s Liquor & Market) also known as the 4 Store, located on Wilmington Ave, between 124th Street and 123rd Street. This is a popular corner store within their territory and often visited by gang members. However, the store is mostly known for rival gang alterations, shootouts, and gang-related murders. Dee’s Liquor store is two blocks south of Martin Luther Kings Hospital (King Drew Medical Center) also known as Killa King. Which, specialized in treating gunshot wounds.
Allies And Rivals
The Carver Park Crips are allies of the Mona Park Compton Crips, Grape Street Watts Crips, Kelly Park Compton Crips, Nutty Blocc Compton Crips, and the South Side Compton Crips. They formed an alliance with their longtime rival the Front Hood Compton Crips, due their common rivalries with the West Side Piru, Fruit Town Piru, and the Poccet Hood Compton Crips.
Other rivals are the Carver Park Compton Crips are the Miller Gangster Bloods, and 135 Piru, Campanella Park Piru, and Anzac Grape Compton Crips. The Carver Park Crips are currently locked in a bitter war with the Compton Varrio 117, a Latino street gang who shares the same neighborhood as their territory.
