The Fruit Town Brims are an African-American/Black street gang located on the West Side of South Los Angeles, California. They originated from the Fruit Town Pirus located in Compton, in the early 1970’s. The Fruit Town Brims is one of the most known blood gang in South Central, LA.
In 1975, The Brims, which consisted of the 30s Fruit Town Brims, 40s Fruit Town Brims, Untouchable Brims, and the Orchard Brims. Sided with the Pirus (Piru Street), after Lyle Thomas AKA “Bartender” a high-ranking member of the Pirus, was shot by rival Crips. The Los Angeles Brims played a major part in the early history of Bloods.
Their neighborhood is around Vermont Ave, and stretches from Jefferson Blvd and 38th Street. Their cliques consist of the 35th Street, 36th Street, 37th Street, and 38th Street. They fall under the Brim umbrella along with Harvard Park Brims and the Van Ness Gangster Brims (Brim Family).
Allies include: Harvard Park Brims and Van Ness Gangster Brims (Brim Family). Their main rival is the west side Rollin 30s Harlem Crips. These two gangs have been feuding for over twenty years, resulting in endless bloodshed. Other rivals include: Rollin 40s Crips, Rollin 50s, Rollin 60 Crips. and the Rollin 90 Crips.
G-Nutt (Rapper/CEO) of Yarddown Muzik is an active member of the Fruit Town Pirus.
